Diabetes affects an estimated 34 million people in the United States, and 1 in 5 of them do not know they have it, while nearly 74 million US adults have undiagnosed prediabetes. In addition to age, risk factors for diabetes include diet, activity level, obesity, smoking and heredity. High blood sugar levels contribute to poor circulation, heart disease, vision problems, and infections among other conditions.

Dr. Bogdanovics practices with Dr. Deepti Rawal at CHH Diabetes and Endocrinology at 780 Litchfield St., Torrington, where a comprehensive and multi-disciplinary approach to diabetes treatment and disease management is offered. The team of board certified diabetes specialists, certified diabetes educators, registered dietitians, and social workers are specifically trained to help people with diabetes avoid complications and maintain better health.
