37 years ago, three Boston College graduates swam across the Long Island Sound to raise $5,000 for cancer patients at St. Vincent’s Medical Center. Little did they know their efforts would turn into the Swim Across the Sound marathon, an annual event that raises money for cancer research. The 2023 Swim Across the Sound hosted an impressive 192 swimmers whose fundraising efforts helped us raise more than $460,000 to support cancer patients and their families while they navigate the difficulties brought on by a cancer diagnosis. We hope you can join us this again for Swim Across the Sound, going down THIS Saturday, August 3rd! 🏊
