Gathering helps teen moms BLOOM

The Central Region’s Family Enrichment Center team brought together young mothers for a day of learning and fun designed to help them grow and thrive in their often complex role as teenage parents.

The New Britain event, entitled BLOOM Teen Mom Conference, offered a variety of community support resources and a panel of adults who were once teen moms who shared their journeys and wisdom. Participants also enjoyed a drum circle.

BLOOM – which stands for Believe, Love, Open, Overcome and Manifest — incorporated inspirational and aspirational themes reflecting the hope and promise of the spring season.
