I was asked if the care provider could bring a student. Of course I said yes. But then the student did the full exam and the care provider only came in for a few minutes at the very end. The care provider was great but the student gave misinformation and did not have the background to give appropriate advice. Once the care provider came in she was able to correct the student but my assumption was that I would be seeing the care provider with the student, not the student alone.

I was in for a follow up. The md noticed a lump on my throat and immediately made recommendations. I was impressed because I forgot about the cyst.

As always, I had a wonderful experience with HHC's outpatient service. I have gone here for decades. Having worked at Hartford Healthcare for many years, I know that, from top management on down, they are deeply committed to patient satisfaction and safety. At HHC, patient feedback matters and makes a real different in how they deliver care. Also, the way they train every single employee in the core values and practices of the institution is, I believe, unique among Connecticut hospitals. I would never trust any other local health care system with my medical health and safety!
