Bio

Dr. Stephen Firshein is a hematologist on the Hartford Hospital medical staff. He earned a medical degree from the University of Michigan School of Medicine and completed an internal medicine residency and a fellowship in hematology/oncology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He also finished post-doctoral work in hematology at Yale University School of Medicine.

Dr. Firshein is a clinical associate professor in the Hematology/Oncology Division at the University of Connecticut Medical School. He is also actively involved in the education of internal medicine residency at Hartford Hospital, where he is chief of hematology.

He is board certified in medical oncology and hematology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
