Bio

Dr. Lawrence Giove is a hematologist/oncologist on the Hartford Hospital medical staff. He earned his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada and a residency in internal medicine through the University of Connecticut. He also completed a fellowship in hematology/oncology at Hofstra Northwell Health where he managed a busy inpatient leukemia practice and provided consultative support in hematology/oncology.

A member of the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology, he is also an active researcher. He is co-investigator on a study into myeloid malignancies after ovarian cancer and a review of cancer susceptibility genes and myeloid malignancies.
